What is the 9:16 aspect ratio?
Short answer
9:16 is a vertical video shape: for every 9 units of width there are 16 of height — 1080 × 1920 pixels at full HD. It fills a phone screen held upright, which is why TikTok recommends it for in-feed ads (minimum 540 × 960 px) and why Reels, Shorts and WhatsApp Status use it. Every DINEX UGC video is 9:16.
